IPA-RD is the Commission’s answer to the challenges of enlargement in agriculture and rural areas.
General objectives of IPARD programme are to a certain extent linked to Lisbon and Gőteborg declarations, concerning support to diversification of economic activities, development of small and medium entrepreneurship and spatial care for environment protection.

TARA International Consulting is delivering technical assistance to 3 municipalities in Varaždin and Požesko-slavonska county applying for funding under Measure 301: Improvement and development of rural infrastructure. Under this technical assistance TARA IC is preparing the tender documentation which is an integral part of the application.

Tara International Consulting participated as partner in a preparatory meeting on the initiative of Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management (University Business Academy) in Novi Sad to develop the new TEMPUS project together with the partner institutions for the upcoming 4th Call. The meeting was hosted in Novi Sad, Serbia at the premises of the University Business Academy (UBA). Higher education partner institutions that attended the meeting were representatives from Pan- European University in Slovakia, Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management (FIMEK) in Novi Sad, EMUNI University (Slovenia) and University of Bologna, Italy.

VIROEXPO, an international fair in Virovitica started on 21st January. This important fair on trade, crafts and agriculture counted more than 25.200 visitors when closing doors two days later. In its 16th edition the fair included 10 presentations from the public, academic and private sector. TARA International Consulting delivered a presentation on ”Branding”, introducing its principles and application in branding of products, but also in Country and Regional Branding.

A new study contract has been awarded by the Hrvatska Udruga Poslodavaca (Croatian Employers Association) to TARA International Consulting. The contract foresees the delivery of 2 studies as part of the “Cross-Border Business Marketing and Foreign Direct Investment Promotion in the two Baranya/Baranja counties ” under EU Croatia/Hungary Cross Border Programme.

TARA International Consulting Ltd will assist ECORYS, a member of the consortium lead by COWI, who have been contracted by the European Commission (Directorate-General for Enlargement) to carry out an evaluation of twinning versus technical assistance in the Western Balkans and Turkey. TIC will assist ECORYS in conducting this evaluation in Croatia, Serbia, and Montenegro. Interviews and meetings with all relevant representatives of institutions and project beneficiaries are scheduled for July and August.

TIC is of the establishers of the Belgian Serbian Business Association BSBA which will be presented at the press conference in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, on Friday, 21st of May 2010, at 10AM. The aims of the association and the activities already carried out will be also presented, and the web page is expected to be up and running shortly after the press conference...
